Children's privacy notice

Privacy at a glance

Children can read stories and choose feelings without creating an account. Their story choices and feelings are not sent to PairaDoc or saved in a child profile. There are no ads, child-directed marketing, chat rooms, or child uploads. Delivering and protecting the website still involves limited technical request information handled by Floot and its hosting providers, as explained below.

What children can do

Children can choose a story about themselves, a sibling, or a grown-up, select an age-appropriate reading level, explore illustrated pages, and optionally choose a feeling. The choices stay in the open screen's temporary memory. The app does not send those choices to a PairaDoc account or store a history of them, and they are not saved when the page is reloaded.

Information the children's app does not request

We do not ask children to enter their name, birthday, email, address, photograph, medical history, diagnosis, or location. There is no child account, chat, messaging, free-text medical entry, advertising, targeted marketing, or behavioral profiling in this children's experience. We do not sell children's personal information. Built-in visitor analytics are disabled for this app. Its story features do not set tracking cookies or store a history of children's selections in the browser.

Hosting, technical information, and retention

The app is hosted through Floot and cloud delivery infrastructure, including Amazon Web Services. Delivering webpages and images requires technical network requests. According to Floot's published documentation, its published-app backend logs record request methods and paths (not IP addresses, request bodies, headers, or cookies) for 90 days. Ordinary content-delivery (CDN) logs record operational information such as response size, status, and cache result, without IP addresses, for 30 days. A web application firewall checks requests for abuse. For flagged or blocked requests, its separate security logs may include the IP address, requested path and query string, approximate country, and technical connection details; these are kept for 30 days. Direct file-storage requests, if applicable, can also generate access logs containing IP addresses and browser details, kept for 30 days. My Health Buddy does not offer child file uploads.

These technical records are used to deliver the website, monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and investigate security issues—not to create children's health or behavior profiles. Floot and infrastructure providers process the records for these operational purposes; they expire according to the retention periods above. Floot says these operational records cannot be individually erased before expiration. Your browser, device, and network provider may handle separate information under their own policies.

Our children's data retention policy

We do not maintain accounts, medical records, or histories of story or feeling choices for children. The choices displayed during a visit are temporary and disappear when the page reloads. We do not retain children's personal information for future marketing or profiling. The limited hosting and security records described above are retained only for the operational purposes and stated periods, then expire under the provider's retention policies. If we introduce features requiring children's personal information, we will review data minimization, parental notice and consent, security, and deletion practices before those features are enabled.

Service providers, sharing, and where processing happens

Floot operates the hosting platform with infrastructure providers including Amazon Web Services and its content delivery network. Technical information may be processed by those providers solely to deliver, operate, and protect the website. Floot states that app project data is hosted in the United States, while cached public pages and images may be delivered from servers in other locations. We do not make children's story choices public or share them with advertisers, analytics vendors, AI chat services, or external medical-data services. Floot describes its providers and operational data practices at floot.com/privacy; that address is supplied as parent information, not as a clickable child-facing link.

Audio and device features

Version 1 does not include built-in narration, microphone input, or recording. Children may read with a trusted grown-up or use accessibility features provided independently by their device. Any such device feature is governed by its provider's practices, not by a children's-app speech service.

Parent area and other PairaDoc services

Links to other PairaDoc services appear only in a separate parent area after a simple grown-up math challenge. That challenge limits casual access but does not verify age, identity, or parental consent. Other PairaDoc websites have their own features and privacy practices; they are not part of the children's story experience. Parents should supervise any visit to those sites.

Parents' privacy choices

Because the children's experience does not create accounts or save story or feeling selections, there is no child profile to review or delete. Parents and guardians may contact us to ask what information, if any, is held, request access or deletion where applicable, object to further collection, or raise a privacy concern. We will review each request in light of the information actually held and applicable law. Some hosting security logs expire automatically and cannot be individually deleted before then. Please do not include a child's medical details in a request.

Please use “My Health Buddy privacy” as the email subject and do not send children's records or sensitive medical details. The email address and phone number appear as text so children are not directed out of the story experience.

Updates

If the children's experience or its data practices materially change, this notice will be updated before the changes are released. This notice addresses the children's educational experience, not the separate PairaDoc patient matching, CarePath, or ProviderHQ services.
